the bittersweet finale

the last of your roses
roses which cost pride and fortune.
the last of our kisses
kisses which was meant to last, but never did.

the last glimpse at your outline
walking away, down the gloomy streets.
I could sense your disappointment,
such intensity, it almost tore my soul apart.

our pledge for everlasting love
was troubled by my discontentment,
regrets which I've always bore but never voiced.

was afraid of hurting you, that's why I've always been quiet.
yet my abrupt departure caused more agony.
you've seen my ugly side.
you've tasted my cruelty.
don't come back, and let my blemishes taint your purity.

Update 1. Infatuation of the moment

SE W960i

Photobucket

I'm loving it so much, with its 3.5 megapixel in-built camera, 8GB memory and a WalkMan phone, its everything that I've ever yearned for in a phone! Dad used his $150 voucher to purchase a new line on my behalf, and chose this phone out of his own accord without me telling him which phone model i wanted to. Something i proclaim a miracle. Of course, I've got to pay him back the money with my pay.

Update 2. 14 February 2008

Photobucket

Both of us agreed not to celebrate Valentine's and decided to head out to Vivo for a dinner after work. Vivo was infiltrated with couples of all genres, from the old to the young (secondary 1 or 2 perhaps), the working adults to the ah-lians/bengs. We were saved from joining the caterpillar queues at the restaurants and filled our tummys with gelato and Superdog instead (awesome fries they have!).

After been to Vivo for thousands of times, I only just realised they had a pet shop there, named Safari or something, which is really cool. Check out the animal clinic.

He's sulking because I made him cam-whore.

Update 3. The Leap Year

Photobucket

We caught the local film, The Leap Years, stared by Wong Lilin and Ananda whatshisname (male lead of Shutters). I would say, it was pleasantly nice. Not an impressive one nor lousy production. Mediocre perhaps?

After the show, took a damn long journey from Boon Lay to Pasir Ris, imagine that! I was dying to try out Summer Breeze at Pasir Ris Park.

In a London Cab.

Finally found the secluded place (its not really very accessible). I must say, there is a complete lack of service there. We were left wandering around for a good couple of minutes, looking for available seats whilst the waiters turned a blind eye to us.

BUT, their food makes up for the non-existent service. We tried a few of their signature dishes, Sambal Fried Rice with Ikan Bilis, Grilled Dory Fish, Crayfish, Honey Lemon & Fruit Punch, Tomato and Mushroom soups and a Tiramisu! 5 out of 5 for all of them!

I've found another Tiramisu to qualify for the rankings:

1st - Clarke Quay Italian Restaurant

2nd - Summer Breeze

3rd - The Coffee Club

4th - Crystal Jade Bakery

Rest of the night...

Thank you dar, for giving me such a special 4th anniversary!

29th February

29th holds much significance to me, to us. It is the day when two young naive teens decided that they wanted to share a future together.

It has been 4 years since then. And I'm at his house while he's burried deep beneath the covers, making the occasional soothing snooze that I've grown so accustomed to. Yesterday was kinda spoilt due to my monthly cramps and he had to play his game alone for 4 hours whilst I slept to ease my pain. Was woken up by his caress at 4AM and we headed down to the nearby kopitiam for an early breakfast of half-boiled eggs and roti-prata!

We're gonna catch The Leap Year later followed by a dinner underneath the local night sky by the beach, yayness!

Gonna go prepare! till then! ~~

Love, Grace

5 days have gone by since St Valentine's and I am still unable to upload any of the pictures taken during then.

Past few days of isolation have had me trying to decipher the many quotes of proses and poetry in Seven Types of Ambiguity. It will probably take me another few attempts before I can be able to ascertain each underlined quote. Pardon me, for I have stopped contacting Literature since Secondary Two.

It may be the laxity, the damn flu or the book, whichever the cause I would rather not pursue. But the looming gloominess is real. Almost as if he has been my companion for some time. The mobile phone, the online instant messenger and everything else which are my vital tools to the attention I craved for are'nt yielding any results. I am dry.

Your apologies do not come with any justification. How am I supposed to react? Minutes went by as your message lies there. I do not know how to reply.

Perhaps I've been spoilt by your past indulgence. Your slowly but surely withdrawal of extravagance has my fears re-surfacing since sometime ago. I am not asking for much. I only need some concern, some reassurance. Have your priorities shifted? When was the last you made a trip here despite knowing that our time would be short? When was our last movie-date? When was the last time you phoned me to accompany me as I made the 10-minute walk home at night? When was your last call to chat? When was the last time you gave me a gift? I don't ask for a Tiffany's necklace, only consistent appreciation.

Because, I am still your girlfriend afterall.

Hailing 2008’s Entrepreneur of the Year…!

*drumroll please*

yours truly, MOI

Photobucket
On my way to SingPost to post the items early in the morning

Held an online spree recently for ladies' frocks (with the help of Peipei and my darling BOY!). Poor boy had to make 2 separate trips to the supplier to get my orders, imagine his embarrassment! Sorry my dear, hope the Crystal Jade's treat showed my appreciation. =X Response was'nt too bad. At least, profits are more than 100% of capital invested. Realised that I am quite enthusiastic in this aspect. It made me my days more fulfilling (though much more hectic and stressed). Am thinking of starting a serious retail business online but there's so many factors to consider, not to mention the very least but most crucial factor, getting a reliable and cheap supplier.

Personal favourite is the versatile beach frock which can take you from the beach to a shopping trip with your girlfriends and even to a dinner date, depending on how you accessorise, of course.

Moving on, past couple of days have been quite eventful, including darling Bev's birthday surprise. Will be uploading the pictures once I've collated all. =) Meanwhile, here's a smack-ass collage of myself after the whole thingie had ended!!!!
