Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!
How was 14th February for ya'all?
Sweet? Romantic? Disappointing?
Mine was especially unique and memorable. Know why? You'll find out soon enough if you read on. =P
We went town on Thursday and I seized the chance to wear my one and only maxi dress out. As FEMALE (magazine) says:
(i) Maxi dresses of floral hues is purrrfecct for Spring! -check
(ii) Keep the look simple with minimal accessories - check.
(iii) No heels and ground the look with a pair of flat sandals - check.

Then, we spotted this really cool larger-than-life advertisement at City Hall MRT and could not resist the urge to flip out our phone for a quick snap.

And we got it! Doesn't this look like we're at Egypt itself? (Just say it does!)
And the biggest surprises of all was when we bumped into dearest Kaiwan selling hand-made lovely roses for charity! How cool is that?! Of course he must get one for me. Its really cheap and super nice plus durable too! Why spend tens of dollars on those silly roses which values are super jacked up during this Valentine period for like 2-3 days of glory??!
Love you dear!! Thanks for the rose! Haha
Anyway, on 14th February 2009 itself, we did not join the rest of the couples dressing up and hitting posh restaurants or the movies. That's cause it was QQ's long-awaited appointment for sterilisation. It might seem stupid or cruel to have it arranged on Valentine, but you've gotto know that QQ's reaching 8 months (yes, first wave of heat arriving anytime soon!) and the vet's so popular that this was the nearest available date!
Look at the baby frolicking around the house with her never-depleting energy. We think she's got some cat genes in her! Have you seen dogs which love threading on ledges???
So we've been marking off the days on the calender till this date and trying to spend as much quality time with our baby before she undergoes the operation and would'nt be able to play as much for 2 weeks. That includes bringing her to Club4Paws for a dip in the pool and endless tiring walks/runs around the park.
We also tried to take more pictures with her, but its hard cause she's forever moving! You observe the pictures below and tell me what you noticed.
That's us before I went for my haircut sans makeup.
That's us on Thursday.
So what did you notice? QQ always poses nicer with HIM in the pictures!! Grrr...
And so, we've been to the vet to find her safely in one piece (whew), albeit a little dazed and groggy still as the effects of the GA slowly wears out. She was so happy to see us she even attempted to jump on me. But only ONCE, cause she was apparently too weak to attempt any major movement. When we got down from the cab and made our way back, she hesistated in front of the stairs and feebly tried climbing up which of course, we had to spare her the ordeal of it. Poor little baby didn't have much energy except for the rythemic wagging of her tail upon seeing the rest of the family and was soon resting among the nest of bedsheets and blankets laid out for her.
The sight of her in this state is really heart-rendering. We didn't even dare to apply too much pressure on her for fear of hurting her. I pray that she would be well soon and climbing up and down again in 2 weeks' time. Meanwhile, she's gonna be on a well-planned special diet which includes baby vegetable puree, pork liver, salmon and lotsa vitamins. Alright, time for me to hog petschannel for more information on nutrition, diet and supplements!
