My Secret to Slim-Looking Legs

Photobucket

Every girl wants to look their best! Especially so on important occasions like parties, boy-dates, photoshoots, weddings and the list goes on. Legs are one of girls' major assets and one which I value the most.

Having a leg-obsession myself, I would not hesistate to do whatever it takes for them to look their best. Besides strenuous cardiac activities, what else can we do? I show you my short-cut route which wouldn't burn a hole in your pocket. ;P

You only require 4 drugstore products, that can easily be found at Watsons/Guardians, do not cost more than SGD 20 each and probably take about 30 minutes (longest)to achieve desirable results.

1. Exfoliate your legs
Exfoliation is the key to all skincare regimes. You need to get rid of the dead skin cells to allow for maximum absorption of whatever skincare products you are going to slap on your skin. And this applies for legs as well. I use St Ives' Apricot Scrub for Gentle Skin.

This is the #1 selling scrub on St Ives website. The Apricot Extract deep cleans pores while gently removing dull, dead skin cells to reveal smoother skin.

Very simple, just squeeze out a dollap of it onto your palm and massage it onto cleansed legs (from thighs to your heel) for a few minutes and rinse away thoroughly. Dry your legs with towel.

Alternatively, a body sponge does the work as well. =)

2. Shave or Wax your Legs (if you haven't!)
You will get smoother skin if you exfoliate before shaving/waxing. I prefer waxing as hair does not grow back as quickly but when time is running out, I will use Veet's Hair Removal Gel Cream for Sensitive Skin.

It has everything I need - a dispenser pump and a spatula. Just apply it evenly onto your legs, wait for 3 minutes and 'shave' away! This can last me up to 1.5 weeks before I shave/wax again.

3. Moisturise your Legs
Although all the above products are gentle and cater to sensitive dry skin, the chemicals involved might still be a tad too harsh for your poor legs, so do remember to hydrate your skin!

Nivea [Body]'s Intensive Milk for Dry Skin provides long-term moistuisation for me. This lotion is quickly absorbed into the skin and leaves it feeling, satin smooth! Cost about SGD 10 for such a large bottle, it is definitely value for money. On the downside, it does not have SPF. So do remember to apply sunscreen too if you are a fair-freak.

And the final crucial step:

4. Air-brush your legs!

So far, Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is the only drugstore product which provides spray-on for legs I can find in Singapore. I will spray this on my legs and use a triangular facial sponge to spread it out evenly. Please apply at least 20 minutes before you change into your outfit.

There are four shades for different skin types (I'm using Light Glow). Besides, it is also enriched with Vitamin K to help cover and fade freckles, veins and imperfections. Hope it works for mine though I've not seen a significant improvement on my pigmentations. =(

My boy always comment that my legs looks smoother and slimmer when I use this. So try it out!

And there goes my biggest secret.
