On Cloud 9... Guess why...?

Photobucket
We discovered a new Xin Wang HK Cafe branch near my house. Hooray! More late night suppers without worrying about transport!

Being their steadfast fans, we were there in a twinkling of an eye.

The gleeful looks should prove our undying passion.

Anyway its really coincidental that I happenned to come across the blog of one of our neighbouring diners and surprise surprise, the diner blogged about her meal too. I've no problem with that except that it was stated that she ATE ALOT AGAIN.

Now this I have a problem with. Why is there an increasing number of people proclaiming how much they can eat and how BIG their appetite is, alongside pictures of their own skinny slim figures. It feels like they are trying to tell others that "Hey I eat damn alot but I'm still so skinny! Don't you envy me?"

I've always been cynical of such people and I bet that the pictures of the supposedly gigantic sumptous meal they post on their blog is their ONLY meal of the day. 85% of the time. That does not count, people. Eating one BIG meal ONLY does not mean you eat alot but don't put on weight.

Even I, who seem skinny, can't eat on and on without putting on weight! I do curb my carbohydrates intake, although not successful everytime cause I'm a carb-lover and I try to substitute oily/fatty food with healthier ones. And I do try to workout every now and then. And when I have a heavy meal, I will reduce my next meal's portion by half or simply skip the entire meal.

So, this diner/blogger mentioned that she ate alot. But too bad I was there to see it all for myself. Hoho. She only ordered a main course for herself, not sure if there was drinks, but I remembered that her table was very empty. That's an extremely NORMAL portion what. Where got ALOT???

Wanna see what's alot like? I show you what we ordered for 4 pax.

Snack dishes:
Photobucket
Chee Chong Fun - I rate it average only if you like thick gravys.

Photobucket
Pan-fried Dumplings x 2 - this is very nice!! We could not resist ordering one more serving.

Photobucket
Black Pepper Chicken Chop Rice - my brother's.

Photobucket
Xin Wang's signature Papaya Soup noodles x 3 - 1 each for QX, my sister and I. Comes with pork chop, but I was too hungry to picture that as well.

Desserts:

Muah Chee! The rice balls were warm when served and taste heavenly with the crunchy peanut dipping.

Photobucket
Peanut riceballs in Ginger Soup - the ginger soup is quite tangy I would say.

And not forgetting one drink each (no pictures). Actually, I don't think its alot too, but definitely more than what they eat. ;D

It was a good hair day yesterday so must take pictures! Looks like Ascience and Yamano's hair masks are working for me. No need to go for hair treatments anymore. Side & Back view:
