Seats widely available on any modes of public transport, sparse or zero shopping crowds, almost empty restaurants or cafes and best of all, shorter KOI queues!!
Haha yes you saw that right! KOI again! What other better way to kick-off a day in Bugis other than getting a cup of this thirst-quenching drink! Whee! Very happy to finally suck and chew on my Peach Green Tea with pearls.
Cam-whore while waiting.
Qx got distracted by its neighbour and got himelf a Japan Boat Takoyaki.
Never paid much attention to it the past few times I walked by (very focused on getting my KOI haha!) and was much enchanted when I sank my teeth into it, albeit reluctantly, upon Qx's coaxing. First bite met a crispy outer layer, followed by the fragrant taste of inner fillings. Lightly drizzled with their special sauce and fish flakes, it was really nice!
Qx with a mouthful of his tako looking ever so greedy!
It started raining so we decided to spend the rest of the day in Iluma. Here's the view from the cineplex level after buying our movie tickets. Interesting architecture.
We were starving and there was still an hour or so before our showtime so we settled for lunch at Waraku de Pasta. They are having 25% discount for students at Iluma's branch on all days if I'm not wrong. Restaurant is tucked away in one corner, right at the back of Iluma, not a very strategic location, I must say.

Bright cheery menu. Their pasta is healthy k! Or so it says on its menu cover! Heh.
What should I have....??
Here's a candid shot of me snapped by Qx while I was excitedly pointing out the stuff I was tempted to try. The pictures of the food all look so good!
My Curry Rice & Pasta set came with salad, soup and an iced tea. The staff gave us a complimentary extra salad bowl for Qx. Lovely peeps!
Our scallops & prawn pizza & curry rice.
Qx's seafood miso pasta.
My egg cabonara pasta.
Tried to take a picture of me eating the pasta while looking divinely gorgeous, but failing! It's not an easy job afterall!
Our food & drinks, with Qx busying talking to clients. Poor boy gotta work even on his off-days!
I ordered too much and stuffed myself crazy with the curry rice set AND pasta AND 2 slices of pizza. Total bill came up to about $50 plus after the student promo discount.
I took this picture myself! Can't really tell right! I realised its very hard to cam-whore with DSLR, its so bulky.
Iluma was holding some sort of a Harry Potter exhibition of its past series and being the HP fan I am, we popped in to take a lookie.
Hmm... Hogsmeade for a flagon of Three Broomsticks' butterbeer or Diagon Alley for Books and Flourishes? LOL
The films are already at JK Rowling's last injection, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. Must pose with any poster available for memory's sake!
Time for our show to start. Watched Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole in 3D. My first 3D show!
I had reservations about this show at first, wondering what kind of a show could they make with a bunch of owls. But again, I was proven wrong and the show turned out quite an interesting one. The owls in it were so cute, that even the fighting scene had us chuckling in amusement. The lead owl, Soren, is so adorable!
I WANT AN OWL too!! Haha. By the way, do you know that sales of owls sky-rocketed in England after the first Harry Potter movie?
It was my first 3D show and yes, I'm lagging very behind la. But still, it was cool to watch the show in 3D cause you feel as if the characters are just in front of you, especially in the motion scenes.
The day ended off with me accompanying him to meet two clients to close 2 deals. Double-happiness! Flagged a cab from Shunfu Road to a 24-hour McCafe near his place just to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings. Sweet of him!
is that your Birkin ?
ReplyDeleteHaha, its not a birkin, just an inspired piece I picked up from a neighbourhood store. Only 20 bucks!
