Endured the ardous 2-hour ferry trip! Followed by an intidimating experience at the run-down Bintan ferry terminal and another 15 minute bus-ride through the streets of Bintan.

Photobucket

Our First Stop, where we were ushered to the lobby area and were served chilled sweet-tasting lychee drinks and cold towels.

Photobucket

Finally reached our destination after another 15-minute ride! 3D 2N at the Agro Beach & Spa Resort! Whoawee! Island-life!!

Photobucket

On our way to check in. Boy, were'nt we lucky! We were initially escorted to a room on the 2nd floor with a miserable window view and were quite disappointed. As we noticed that the 1st floor rooms came with a sae-view balcony, we immediately asked whether any of them were available. The resort staff was kind enough to check for us and tada! Managed to get a spacious room with a huge verenda looking over the vast blue sea.

After hearing horror stories of how bad and expensive the food at Bintan is, we brought our very own larder of cup noodles, canned food, potato chips and sparkling juice. Did not have much activities on our first day as we were suffering from 'ferry-lag'. Had a snooze, ate cup noodles at the verenda and watched some TV.

After our snooze and thrifty meal, we decided to drop by the resort's signature Kelong Restaurant. Pictures of da beautiful Kelong later!

Day Two

Buffet Breakfast at the resort's outdoor restaurant. Quite exceeded my expectations, I must say. The aromatic brewed coffee, the luscious mango juice (not diluted at all), savoury fried banana nuggets and not forgetting, their pipping hot chicken porridge! Yummy!

Photobucket

Couldn't resist a dip in the tempting pool to work off the calories after breakfast. The pool was only a few steps from our room, shiok! I must applaud the attentive staff, for bringing us long thick towels once they spotted us coming out of the pool. 5-star service!

Posing against the beach

Photobucket

We are so sporty, we can even play volleyball without a ball and oppenents. =P

Photobucket

Did some exploring beyond the beach and look what we found! Private thatched cottage-like houses! Just like what I imagined from my childhood fairytales... How I wish there is such a place to stay in Singapore.

Photobucket

Felt thirsty and decided to order a gargantuan coconut to quench our thirst.

We spotted these!

So overwhelmed by the raised little huts with their straw-roof tops that we immediately signed up for a 1-hour aromatherapy massage.

Our massage parlour with a scenic view of the clear blue sky and sea. PhotobucketOur package consisted of an 1-hour full body massage using Lavender essential oil and a complimentary 15-minute jacuzzi. We could practically feel our muscles completely relaxed after the treat. At an reasonable price of S$37.00 per pax! See our skin shining after the oil massage?

Dinner at the Kelong Restaurant

Dining with a spectacularly breath-taking view. Being the typical kiasu native Singaporeans, we had already reserved our table plus dishes the night before, muahahaha!

A satiating meal at only S$38.50! The perfect finish to a fun-filled day. Blissful!

A cosy corner tucked behind the Kelong restaurant, ideal for nature-lovers to breathe in the fresh sea air and listen to the soothing sea waves splash against the strategically positioned rocks.

Totally missing every bit of Bintan. From their sunny yet windy weather, tasty cheap food, right down to the friendly resort staff.

a Sunday affair

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Its a distorted relationship with Sundays. One that's jumbled with love and hate both. I'm almost intidimated by Sundays, them with their impetuous sunny weather which induces an adrenaline rush or the dense windless humidity that urges one to hide her air-conditioned room. Which is why I almost always sleep in on Sundays; that way i get to skip half of the speculation of how my day is gonna turn out. Great! But today, had to literally dragged my torso, limbs and everything else to work. Sunday gives me the creeps. I can never ascertain whether i'm going to be productive or dawdling at work. Ye may ask, why specifically Sunday??? Well, Monday blues is already a well-shared fact/ Tuesdays and Wednesdays are just fleeting moments of the week which aint that memorable cause you're mostly trying to get the most winks. One feels an energised fervor on Thursdays, knowing that its the 2nd last day of the week. I guess its needless to describe Fridays, with their bestowed denims and casual dress codes.

But I just wanna say 'thank you', for turning my Sunday around. =)

I must have really looked like I'm some bloodthirsty sucker. Even the middle-aged waitress at the cafe advised him to save and not order that much food. The original order: 2 Iced Lemon teas, 1 Hotplate combo, 1 Nissin noodles, 1 mini-drumsticks platter and 1 french toast. Yummy yummy!!!

Top One KTV - The Ice World

Karaoke lovers out there! Ya can't miss this out! This 6-storey ktv sprawling throughout the ex-Icon building has 6 or 7 different themes for each floor; Grandeur, Imperial, Ice World, Anna Sui and the likes. We were lead into Ice World where the deco was made up of chilled glass-lookalikes. They even have like different lightings to create different ambiences! Like Disco lighting for hippy fast songs or Stage Lights for the soothing love songs! Check out this "Ice-block" table!

We ordered chilly frozen drinks to adhere to the theme.

A bouquet of dainty pink roses
passed from his hands to her fingers,
their bond dwindles.
A brush against her flushed cheeks,
and a whiff of his cologne,
both hearts skip a beat.

Love this floral dress from TopShop!

Hands up in the air. I surrender. Am defeated. Can't hold my mask any longer.

I tried. For days. For months. Yet I'm still back to square one.

Been lieing to myself, goodness know why. Been shunning any contacts with almost all living beings.

Pretense and deception, I used on myself. But now, without my mask and bared, I face the plain ugly truth.

Family, friends or lover. Which one am I?

In less than 12 hours, I'm gonna be lying on the operating table *gasps* and having my eye poked by needles and scapels. So here's a very very self-indulging entry with a whole charade of MY OWN PICS. Puke or enjoy. =P
