After the previous day's hooha with my friends and family, went for a short getaway with Dearie at Holiday Inn Atrium. Part of my 21st birthday gift from him.

Dearie came over to my place to fetch me in the morning and we headed straight to our destination where slumber awaits us. Both of us were so shagged after staying up since saturday midnight.

The Lobby and Lift lights. I want such lights in my dressing room for my future house!

Our room was located on the 15th floor and directly overlooking the CBD area with many skyscrapers and landmarks. It was a pity that we could not get the higher floors above 20th storey though. Anyway, it may interest you to know that Holiday Inn Atrium was formerly known as the Glass Hotel and lastly as Concorde.

I was fumbling with the drawers and finally spotted the hairdryer, packed in a velvety green pouch and place discreetly on the safety deposit box. The green pouch reminds me of a magician's bag, where you can expect a furry bunny to jump out anytime. Haha.

Photobucket

After the mini-tour around our room, took a short nap as we hadn't manage to catch much rest after the singing session last night. Woke up in the evening to prepare for a night out at Clarke Quay, which is just a 15-minute walk away.

Dearie just after his shower looking real sexy in the bathrobes. =P
Photobucket

Rehearsing for our wedding album shoots. Don't you think the bath robes resemble the tradtional Japanese costumes?

We decided to save on transport and walk all the way to Clarke Quay. Did some sightseeing along the way. I realised there's still many hidden quaint little corners and streets in SG that I don't know of!

Photobucket

Dearie brought me to our favourite Italian restaurant (I forgot its name), which we had dined at on our first Valentine in year 2005. He knows I love the Tiramisu (best I've ever had). Fyi, this restaurant is located right beside the reverse bungy.

Boy we were ravenous as that was our first meal of the day.
Photobucket

Italian Cuisine. Hawaiian Pizza, Scalloppe Chicken with Rum and Tiramisu. These are some of their dishes, all smacklippiecious!
Photobucket

We strolled along Clarke Quay for abit after dinner to digest the devoured food. Watched some angmohs tried the bungee. Found it pretty amusing that those who were watching were screaming even louder den the players.

Photobucket

Turkish Ice-cream anyone?? Love his costume.
Photobucket

Resting our feet before proceeding to our next destination - Chinatown. By foot again!
Photobucket

We wanted to see who can take a more artsy picture. Well well..
Photobucket

Had shark fin's soup and bbq chicke wings at Chinatown and did some grocey shopping at 7-Eleven so we wouldn't go hungry at the hotel later. Look at what we got!
Photobucket

Some random pictures. I have a quirky fancy for hotels' complimentaries. Love the different types of tea leaves, coffee, sugars, toiletries etc. The more delicate, the better.
Photobucket
Our shoes. See the difference in our sole sizes. Btw, both heels belong to me alrite.
Photobucket

Once back at the hotel, washed up and settle comfortably under the covers. Watched Saw II and Croc, whilst snacking on the junkies we bought. It was 4am when we finally retreated to lalaland.

:: Next Morning ::
Photobucket

Ordered room service. Had American Breakfast where they serve generous portions of scrambled eggs, sausages, bacons, danish pastries and toasts. There were juice and brewed coffee as well. Just the type of breakfast I like.
Photobucket

Self-made Kokocrunch cereal to go along.
Photobucket

Slowly savoured our huge breakfast whilst watching Australia Network which is a really cool channel. A pity I don't have it at home.

Here's a few of the hotel's facilities.
Photobucket

Checked out at 12noon and cabbed back to his home. Caught What Happens in Vegas in the evening. Funny flick worth catching.

It was an awesome 21st Birthday, all thanks to my dearie's efforts and plannings. And also to Onion Squad, my family and my StarHub colleagues. I felt loved and cared for. Appreciate every of my loved ones whom I have met at junctions of my life journey and made a difference. May God bless you all.

Big Girls Don't Cry

Date: 17th May 2008

Luncheon with CLASS 05s24 at Marche's
Photobucket

Well, not the ENTIRE class, but the significant ones turned up, with the exception of Chong Tat, Kim Long and Lester and some others (you know who you are!!) so that's more than enough for me.

Photobucket

All of us ordered our favourite - Rosti with Sausage. Ha, great minds think alike! Was delightedly surprised when they presented me with a chunk of Marche's strawberry cheesecake with lighted candles out of the blue and sung me a bday song. Thank you guys, I really appreciate that.

And thank you for the beautiful roses, dress and meaningful card. =)

Photobucket

Its been some time since I last saw Rachael and Liming (2 of the O.S!). The Onion Squad have grown into beautiful ladies and I can't help but feel proud to have such lovely (inside and out) ladies as my bosom friends.

Dinner with the Fus'at Chevron
Photobucket

Dad made reservations for a 9-course dinner for 10 pax at Chevrons' and invited my uncle's family along. He was down with flu that night yet insisted on proceeding with his plans. I felt a tinge of guilt as he drove us down to Chevrons' with a runny nose and watery eyes. That was one of the rare moments when I could feel Dad's love for me. Felt truly blissfully loved.

Photobucket

Dinner was a grand affair. Looks like Dad really went all out, it was like a seafood jumbo that night. Dad ordered all my favourite dishes.

Menu
1. Cold Dish - comprised of salad prawn, spring rolls, beancurd rolls, seasoned jellyfish etc.
2. Shark Fin's
3. Beijing Roasted Duck Crispy Skin - served with thin egg crepes and sweet sauce
4. Brocolli with Scallops
5. Sea Cucumber in thick gravy
6. Steamed Garoupa
7. Grilled Black Pepper CrayFish
8. Fried Ee-mian - Egg Noodles
9. Dessert - glutinous rice balls & ice jelly

Didnt managed to take pictures of ALL the dishes as I was busy tucking in and chatting to my relatives.

Midnight Karaoke
Photobucket

Darling booked a room at KBOX at midnight so I could celebrate with his friends. In case you don't know, I've known his friends ever since I've know my dearie cause they used to hung out in one big group.

Photobucket

I hate to drink alcohol like chivas, martell etc alone. Can't stand the burning choking sensation. You could say I'm a greenhorn when it comes to drinking. Haha.

Photobucket
Nice wallet.. Prefer the monogrammed ones though.

Photobucket
A 1 kg Tiramisu Cake from Prima Deli which Dearie had pre-ordered dayssss before. I'm so in love with Tiramisu! Greatest Italian dessert ever invented. Haha.

Photobucket

Thank you Dearie, for the wonderful night of singing, drinking and lots more (shan't mention here). Dearie, his friend and I even went to Mac's for a damn early breakfast at 4a.m. Wooots!

Cabbed home to prepare for a private getaway with Dearie at Holiday Inn's the next day.. More to come....

Mommy's Child

This day, I can remember the date; 12 May 2008, Sunday.

Brought my Mom to one of her favourite (and more affordable ha!) food outlets - Sushi Tei at Vivo City!

Photobucket
Mommy and Japanese dessert (coffee balls).

Photobucket
The food we ordered. Instead of having a set meal each, we decided to order ala cartes. That way, we get to have more variety without bingeing!

We went inside TANGS' cosmetic & skincare department so I could get a gift for her.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Ta-da!! My current fave brand - Christian Dior. We got away with DiorAddict Shine, Fahrenheit 32, Lip Rouge and some skincare. DiorAddict for dearest Mommy and Fahrenheit for Dad. The fragrance's really nice with a fruity scent to it. I like it too! But will just stick to BodyShop for now.

Photobucket
Received a gift from CD as our purchases exceeded $250.00.

The gift comprises a range of their latest skincare & cosmetics series - DIORSNOW Sublissime. After trying the entire range for the past 5 days, I've gotta admit that it is really effective.

I seldom purchase over-the-counters skincare due to my blemish-prone skin which requires special blemish-targetting treatment. Never did I think that an over-the-counter product can do so much benefits for my skin!

So, I've been following this regime for 5 days.

1. Whitening Cleansing Gel Milk
A light milky gel which dissolves mkaeup and life impurities for a clean, softer and visibly brighter complexion. It has a fragrance that's similar to DiorAddict Shine and my skin feels cleansed without any tight feel.

2. Whitening Lotion - Hydrating Moisture
It is very very gentle on the skin and does not feel oily at all.

3. Whitening Repair Essence
It is proclaimed to be the heart of the program. An ulta-penetrating moisturizing gel for intensive whitening action and soft, refined skin.
As they only gave me a very small bottle, I only apply it on my facial zone at nights.

4. Whitening Pore Refining Gel
Who says Whitening products are not suited for blemish-prone or oily skin? This ultra light and fresh gel instantly mattifies skin and refines pores. Great for makeup bases and controlling oil production, I think, cause I found that my skin was less oily and stayed matte for a longer period of time.

In short, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this skincare range and am gonna purchase the whole set once I get my paycheck.

Mother Nature

One of those Sundays, we had an impromptu picnic at Botanical Gardens, decided and rolled out within a couple of hours.

I was assigned to undertake the most important task... preparing the picnic's food! Did a check in my fridge. No cold cut, no cheese, no decent juice, nothing suitable for a picnic.

Decided to make do with hard boiled eggs, some leftover fruit tarts (but delicious!), Gardenia's Fruit Loaf, Butter Buns, chocs and an orange. Not forgetting a carton of Pomegranate & Cranberry Juice from the supermart. And so, with all the above packed, finally ready to hit the Gardens!

Ice-creams bought from a roadside vendor, just right to kick-start our picnic.

Took advantage of the beautiful background for our portfolios. Haha.

We shall let pictures do the talking aye?

Strolled around Botanical Gardens till dusk and head over to VivoCity to catch IronMan. Hung around at Toyrus for abit.
